Creado en 2005 esa «casa hostal galería» esta manejada por Valerie Ancelle, artista francesa, con el objetivo de abrir a los viajeros y artistas un espacio natural donde arte, cultura y turismo sostenible prosperan en armonía, preservando el medio ambiente y el ritmo social de la comunidad.
​​ARTLODGE se integra naturalmente en medio de una área de 17 hectáreas que se extienden desde la orilla del mar hasta las lomas, senderos y la selva, adentro de la isla. Quebradas de aguas claras están siempre cerca. Son varias las instalaciones de alojamiento, bien integradas al entorno, para uso individual como colectivo, incluyendo áreas de acampar. Todas cuentan con agua y energía solar. Es una galería abierta a la naturaleza, sin puertas, ni ventanas, con todo lo esencial y necesario para una estadía muy agradable.

In 2005, was created ARTLODGE, a “gallery-hostel-house”, Valerie Ancelle, french artist managed the place as a natural space for travelers and artists that harmoniously joins sustainable art, culture and tourism, preserving the environment and the social rhythm of the community.
ARTLODGE is located on Gobernadora island in Panama’s Veraguas province, set on 40 acres that stretch from the ocean to the hills, traversed by jungle trails and clear water streams. The lodge integrates into this environment, designed as a gallery open to nature, without doors or windows, and with all the essentials for a very pleasant stay. Guests may choose to stay in individual bungalows with water and solar energy or in the camping area under the stars.
