YOUR ARRIVAL
We will meet you at Puerto Mutis, near Santiago (Veraguas Province).
How to get there? From Panama City, take the Panamerican Highway going West. A 3.5 hour trip will take you to Santiago. Then just an other half hour South to Puerto Mutis.
This charming fishermen village has various seafood restaurants on stilts, so you could enjoy a typical lunch before meeting us at the docks at 1 pm. We will take you on one of the Art Lodge boat for a transfer of 2 hours through the Gulf of Montijo (depending on sea conditions). You will discover on the way a mangrove protected area, various islands with rich bird and marine life. You will find onboard drinks, fresh fruits and... binoculars !
Arrival on the Art Lodge beach, on Gobernadora Island. We will show you around and set you up in your “ranchito” style bungalow. For sunset, we have organized for you a barbecue diner and tropical drinks on the beach.
YOUR RETURN TO THE MAINLAND
We can arrange your transfer back to Puerto Mutis (2 hours depending on sea conditions) or to the nearby fishermen village of Hicaco (30 minutes, depending on sea conditions) on mainland.
